Pole dancing class today...of course incredible - and today we did this upside down thing and it was so fun!
I was at the spa yesterday for 2 1/2 hours after getting my waxing done I went into the steam room, then the sauna, then the awesome showers they have and just enjoyed every moment of it. Bliss Spa rocks my world!!

stretching 5 minutes. I was able to actually do a split on my left leg today when I was stretching. so thrilled with that!
I loved that I got to get up, eat my first meal, drink my coffee and leisurely go to the gym today. I had off from work today because of the snow, so I am very grateful for the time I have to do what I desire. I am also going to the spa today to get waxing done and relax in the steam room I think I might also buy myself some roses today - ahhh what a great day this is!

I had a great workout this evening, had an AWESOME spot on the flat db presses...I am so grateful for this guy -sometimes I get a spotter and I'm like..."what do these people not understand about don't touch the weight unless I don't move it at all?"...i am very appreciative to have had a great spotter on the flat db presses. Also, I really am proud of myself for how I broke up my meals today, because I had a busy afternoon after work, so the balancing of food was important and I did a great job! yeayyyyy it's the small things in life that make me so happy - but life is really about the small things anyway!

Today I decided to switch my training program to do lifting in the AM and cardio in the afternoon after work. I felt really good about the workout this morning, and I think this will be a great change for me both mentally and physically. A nice cup of coffee before the workout with my 1st meal also probably helped as well |

I was totally thrilled with the sldl today....also just felt super energized for my workout. Also, while I was stretching I was able to get alot of flexibility in my lower back today and got my head down to the floor when I was doing this center split stretch. So, not only am I getting stronger but I'm getting more flexible too.

I felt really solid with this workout. Having this time off is showing me that I am much better working out in the morning before a day filled with work where I am expending energy. I felt super focused and strong. Also I was drinking alot more water DURING the workout than I usually do. I always drink water, but today I made a point to drink at alot more in between sets. I felt that it did really help with my recovery to go into the next set. I had a great spotter for the flat db presses..so glad I got those 45lbs up today! yeayy

My shoulders felt really weak today. My left shoulder specifically felt weak and tired. I love the progress my shoulders and triceps are making - and the vascularity in my arms continues to make me smile.

I had 2 cups of coffee this morning, because I usually lift in the afternoon, and I wanted to make sure I had enough energy. Also, the gym said if it continues to get worse, they may close the gym early today...so I wanted to make sure I got a workout in. I got a great spot by a trainer at my gym today on the flat db presses, and he asked me that question, you know..."so what are your goals?" I am really private about my life in the gym, because of "naysayers"...so I don't really tell anyone I compete. I just said "well by goal is to improve everyday, and do better than I did the last workout." he said "well do you want to just get stronger?" i said "of course, I want to improve with every workout and progress." I left him totally confused and curious hahahha. He was a really good spotter though, which I am very appreciative of. Very happy with this workout today - oh and my arms look great!

I was really happy that I was able to get a good spot on the shoulder presses today at the gym. A guy that shares the same passion for lifting that I do at the gym was luckily there to spot me today, so I went to the 35's and was able to get 6 reps and I felt really good. I'm so loving the progress I'm seeing in my arms....my lower body is definitely slower as far as progress is concerned, but I know it will happen. My goal is to win and be my best - whether there needs to be a little more time for that than 11 weeks is yet to be determined. I just keep myself focused and determined and train like a warrior everyday no matter what.

Thank Goddess for coffee today! I got done with work, and literally wanted to fall asleep and I had to get to the gym, so I had a nice cup of coffee (with splenda and cinammon as I always do) and I got psyched up for my Leg workout today.

I have been doing squats on the smith for a while, because I used to have alot of tightness in my lower back from doing free bar squats. I went back to them today for the first time in about 9 months...I was glad that I felt good doing them. I know the progression of the weight will happen, but right now I feel kind of silly with such a small amount of weight I'm squatting. However, my form is excellent!
On the cardio one of my favorite videos was on (Taking Chances by Celine Dion) at the last 5 minutes of the cardio....very inspirational and deep - perfect for the end of the cardio workout. Oh, also at the end of my workout comes "Picture" by Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow - so I stayed on the treadmill and stretched while I watched it...such a pretty song. Ok, damn I'm gonna get made fun of for that lol.

Oh, also at the end of my workout comes "Picture" by Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow - so I stayed on the treadmill and stretched while I watched it...such a pretty song. Ok, damn I'm gonna get made fun of for that lol.
