February 1st, 2010

Thank Goddess for coffee today!  I got done with work, and literally wanted to fall asleep and I had to get to the gym, so I had a nice cup of coffee  (with splenda and cinammon as I always do) and I got psyched up for my Leg workout today.

Legs:
Leg Press 3x8-10 230lbs
DB walking lunges 3x10-12 25lbs
Leg extensions 3x6-8 50lbs
Squats 4x10 75lbs
Calf raises 5x20 35lbs,30lbs,25lbs,20lbs,20lbs

Cardio 35 minutes treadmill incline walk L11.5 incline, L 3.5-3.6 speed

I have been doing squats on the smith for a while, because I used to have alot of tightness in my lower back from doing free bar squats.  I went back to them today for the first time in about 9 months...I was glad that I felt good doing them.  I know the progression of the weight will happen, but right now I feel kind of silly with such a small amount of weight I'm squatting.  However, my form is excellent!smile 
On the cardio one of my favorite videos was on (Taking Chances by Celine Dion) at the last 5 minutes of the cardio....very inspirational and deep - perfect for the end of the cardio workout. Oh, also at the end of my  workout comes "Picture" by Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow - so I stayed on the treadmill and stretched while I watched it...such a pretty song.  Ok, damn I'm gonna get made fun of for that lol.
